VIRGINIA SMITH ELEMENTARY

Mrs. Patterson's Fast Facts

1.  Grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnum City North 

         High School.

2.  Attended University of Oklahoma and graduated in 1991 with a              Bachelor's in Elementary Education.

3.  Was a member of Delta Delta Delta (Tridelta) sorority.

4.  Accepted my first teaching job in Harrah Public School (Clara      

     Reynolds) teaching first grade in August of 1991.

5.  I taught first grade for 10 1/2 years.

6.  Received my Master's in Library Media Education from the University

     of Central Oklahoma in 2003 and began teaching in the library at

    Virginia Smith Elementary.  I am on my 26^th year of teaching.

7.  I was married in 1993 to Deke Patterson, my college sweetheart.

8.  I have two children, Megan 18 and Garrett 12.

9.  I have 2 dogs:  A Jack Russell Sadie and a Chihuahua Tortilla (Tia).

10.  I love to read, read, read!  I especially love to read scary books!
