VIRGINIA SMITH ELEMENTARY

Hello!

First, I am very happy that I am involved in your child's education!  Here is a little information about me!

 I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma in December of 2010.  I am currently pursuing my Master of Library and Information Studies from OU!  

 I'm from Harrah, and attended Harrah schools from kindergarten until graduating my senior year.  Most of my family attended Harrah schools, and I have a niece and nephews who are currently attending schools in Harrah.  I am very excited to be able to contribute back to the town where I grew up and currently live.

My philosophy is that all children are unique, and concepts should be presented in multiple, interesting ways.  All children learn differently.  I believe that teaching should appeal to various learning styles, such as visually, auditory, and through movement.  I believe that exploration is one of the best ways to learn, so I attempt to plan lessons involving exploration and creativity as much as possible.
