First Grade
I attended Bethel Public Schools, K-12 and graduated from Bethel High School in 2007.
In 2007 I attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah until 2009. In 2009 I transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated in 2011.
I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education as well as certification in Early Childhood Education.
While teaching in Yukon Schools, I completed my first training with Litercy First. I have continued to renew my training while in Harrah Schools.
I have attended multiple workshops while employed with both districts. A great teacher never stops learning and value professional development opportuities.
I began teaching at Harrah Public Schools in 2014, teaching first grade at Virginia Smith Elementary.
Prior to teaching in Harrah, I taught at Surrey Hills Elementary, in the Yukon public school district.
I student taught in a first grade classroom at Surrey Hills and took over my mentor's class while she was on matrnity leave. It was a great experience because I got to be with that same group of kids the entire year.
I was hired to teach Kindergarten the next school year at Surrey Hills for the 2012-2013 school year. I then moved to up first that same group of kids for the 2013-2014 school year.
My husband and I have been married for 3 years and been together a total of 8 years. We have one little princess, who is just the slightest bit rotten. :)
My husband's family owns a fireworks distribution company so my summer doesn't really begin until after the 4th of July. :)
Outside of school I love to spend time with our little girl and try to keep up with her.
